What is Gestational Surrogacy?
Gestational surrogacy is an arrangement where a woman (gestational carrier) carries and delivers a baby for another person or couple. The parents-to-be are involved in the pregnancy, the birth and become the child’s legal parents with a pre-birth or post-birth order. In this arrangement, the baby isn’t genetically related to the surrogate mother. The child may, or may not be related to the parents who will become legal parents of the child.
